Someone Princess Someone Shame

Someone Princess Someone Shame Cover by Roy Rindom

So young and tender pure at heart
She walks the street alone at night
Waiting for a John to bite.
It's the only life she ever knew
So take your fondle, kiss or screw
There's no time to play this game
Someone's princess -- someone's shame.

I need to see some paper first
So watch your hands before you pay
Give it up, or I'm on my way
His name is John and she takes his dough
Shit. He's yelling "Start the show!"
The names never change on any given night
A Pro / A Whore / even Bum
The one that hurts is a Little scum
He doesn't care what she's Called
There's no time to hear her name
Someone's princess -- Someone's shame.

She dares not think how it all started
Lives are ruined with families parted
At thirteen she's young and sweet
What great Friends are on the street
Trust me / Take this / Listen here
At night it's always "be my dear"
There's no time to lay the blame
Someone's princess -- Someone's shame.

Now fourteen -- one year older
Much more callous, even bolder
Her hips, her walk speak that beat
She's a lady of the street
The clothes have changed throughout the year
First champagne; now it's beer
How she's grown since she first started
Damn that day the family parted
This world's unfair and barely tame
Someone's princess -- Someone's shame.

Now fifteen; it's been two years
Oh my God she's lost her fears
She's slept with women and two men
On the street there's no pretend
My, her heart is filled with pain
Someone's princess -- Someone's shame.

How much longer will she last
For on the street you age so fast
She's not allowed to show her tears
They are only hurts and fears
Then one night with a sigh
She felt a peace deep inside
Reminiscing how she started
That fateful day the family parted
For on the street there is no game
Someone's princess -- Someone's shame.

Untitled Poem

Untitled Poem Cover Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath amd tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, amd shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Paganistic Poem

Paganistic Poem Cover By Daniel Edmonds

Go ahead and talk about us, as we seem to make you doubt,
Because God has condemned us by what we can't live without.
Preach at us when we draw near just like all Christians do.
But don't come running back to us when spirits walk on through.

We freeze your conversations when we pass you on the street,
If only we saw your true God, oh wouldn't that be sweet
We may well be exploited by your taunts forevermore
But we will not be swayed from the things we most adore.

We endured with admiration of our gods through burning days
And salvaged what we could from our true Karmic Phrase
To say what we believe is wrong, you really have some nerve
We deserve some freedom from the one you claim to serve.

Say that we are sinners, as we have no common sense?
As if we'd copy what you do at our own self-expense!
You look up at your "true" god to receive his holy smile,
It doesn't mean that we agree, or will change our pagan style.

You can laugh at our starvation, and our divining games,
But know that when we rest at last, our time will come again
You've picked up quite the story, likely brainwashed from the womb,
What happened to love thy neighbor - you've been corrupted, but by whom?

Panchanga Tantra The Magic Of The Indian Calendar System

Panchanga Tantra The Magic Of The Indian Calendar System Cover

Book: Panchanga Tantra The Magic Of The Indian Calendar System by Regulagedda Akshay

The fable of Apara Ganita and the Mystical Garden of Enchanted Numbers is obviously fictional. The inspiration is Leelavati Ganitam, a chapter in the ancient mathematical treatise, the Siddhanta Siromani, written by Bhaskaracharya in 1150CE. The Leelavati Ganitam is fascinating not only for its treatment of indeterminate analysis and a method to solve Pell’s Equation, but also, as a Canadian university’s website on mathematical history puts it, for its poetic conversation between the narrator and a narratee named Leelavati1. The similarity between this poetic construct and the conversation between Apara Ganita and the dwara palika is probably noticeable. Frame stories are not common for scientific research papers, but they certainly have a historical precedent.

Ssotbme Revised An Essay On Magic

Ssotbme Revised An Essay On Magic Cover

Book: Ssotbme Revised An Essay On Magic by Ramsey Dukes

Here is a new, revised edition of a book first published by The Mouse That Spins in April 1975 as ‘SSOTBME’ an essay on magic, its Foundations, Development and place in modern life. Since then it has run to two English, one American, two Polish and at least one German edition — and earned many friends along the way.

The book was originally conceived in 1974 as an essay to be included within a longer book. Christopher MacIntosh had proposed a collection of essays on topics such as Tantricism, Zen Buddhism and other exotic religious ideas which had been attracting wider interest in the West since the hippy era — and he thought it would be rather interesting to include a piece on Western Ritual Magic. The required contribution was written, but the book idea was shelved (as it were). That left a nice essay which was worth editing and publishing in its own right.

The publishing house was called ‘The Mouse That Spins’ because Companies’ House would not permit my use of ‘The Imperial Publishing House Of Great Britain’— a name which I considered rather cool and revolutionary at the time. It is less easy to explain why the book was originally published anonymously. So I won’t. Ramsey Dukes was asked to revise the text for this edition, on the assumption that he wrote the essay — however his style was more verbose than the original (maybe an effect of the corrupting influence of word processors since 1974) so his main additions have been ghettoised into appended chapters in smaller print in order to preserve the integrity of the original.

Strange Changes

Strange Changes Cover I met you first on darkened moors,
one night beneath a cobalt moon
We walked the hills, climbed rugged tors
the wind sang sweet cold eerie tunes

Then you were quick to dance,
your lustrous hair a flowing breeze
When I chanced to glance at you
I saw your body rearrange
taking the shape of a yew tree
Strange change I thought...so strange...

The second time I saw you playing a sea nymph
on a black sand beach
We swam Together Through the surf,
I Touched the sea, but you I could not reach

Then you were quick to laugh,
your mirth a shiny aura
I paused to stare
while you shimmered in the air
taking a Griffin's form
Strange change I cried...too strange

The last time I saw you
acting like a wilderness child
Canadian tundra frozen and bleak,
animal magic free and wild

Presenting your true self
while the wolves remained silent
The Moon howled in delight
as you kissed me softly in the arctic night
and left me standing on a melting world
full of strange changes...very strange...

To The Evening Star

To The Evening Star Cover Thou fair-haired angel of the evening
Now, while the sun rests on the mountain’s light
Thy bright torch of love
Thy radiant crown
Put on and smile upon our eveningbed
Smile on our loves
And while thou drawest the bluest curtains of the sky
Scatter thy silver dew
On every flower that shuts its sweet eyes
In timely sleep
Let thy west wind sleep on
The lake speaks silence with the glimmering eyes
And wash the dusk with silver
Soon full soon dost thou withdraw
Then the wolf rages wide
And the lion glares thro’ the dun forest
The fleeces our flocks are cover’d with
Thy sacred dew: protect them with thine influence.

A Dream Within A Dream

A Dream Within A Dream Cover by Edgar Allen Poe

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow -
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if Hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a Vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream Within a dream.

I stand amind the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand -
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep - while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Earth Birth

Earth Birth Cover By: Holly Solt

In a time Before the mortal
when magic came to birth
evil and good in conflict
with the Powers of the earth

Long ago, and far away
a time we don't remember
for we had yet to come to earth
for earth was still an ember...

Mountains black and oceans grey
the sky was black and foul
and air was only fog and mist
and torrid winds would howl

Then from the sky a soft wind blew
and dots of light appeared
and rain fell down upon the earth
that was so scorched and seared

Evil fought with good
and the earth shook with fear
canyons and the continents
from earthquakes did appear

Then dragons flew as birds
and beasts were treetop tall
and love was soon to be
the magic of it all

Old evil hid beneath the earth
and made the center burn
and waited for the time and place
that it could have it's turn

And love produced the day
and light shone all Around
and Love proclaimed it's victory
by giving life a sound

Now mortals walk upon the earth
and think to be so grand
to rule the very planet
the ground on which they stand

Mortal minds cannot accept
the battle carries on
good and evil will exist
long after earth is gone.

Lord You Have Called Me

Lord You Have Called Me Cover Lord, I give to You my life
My heart, my soul, my strength
To lay before Your throne
This is what You’ve asked me for
To give my all to You
Take from me that which is not true

Lord, You have called me
And bid me follow You
To glorify Your name in all the earth
Teach me to love
As I’ve never loved before
I give my life to You, my God

Though I know that I shall fall
Nothing will I fear
For You are by my side
So I sing with a grateful heart
The blessings of my God
Make me Yours for all eternity

Lord, You have called me
And bid me follow You
To glorify Your name in all the earth
Teach me to love
As I’ve never loved before
I give my life to You, my God

Lord, I long to see Your face
To gaze upon Your beauty
Thy will be done

Eclipse

Eclipse Cover by emerald groves, and silver streams
a secret glade that holds all dreams
shadowy pathways and beams of light
flow on winds from greatest height
a mist from the ocean swirls around
twisting writhing, with gracious sound
a figure emerges, blessing the eye,
stands in the center and looks to the sky

gowned in white, with hair of gold,
knowing to be one for all to behold,
silver wings fold round from behind,
and a crimson thread round her fingers twined
find her through singing, meditation or prayer,
she's crafter of water, fire, earth air

and happiest she is, when joining her there,
Our lord who beams, with sunlight so fair,

No one forgets, the day that they wed,
Moon and sun meet, an eclipse is spread

By emerald groves and silver streams,
A secret glade that holds all dreams
Shadowy pathways and beams of light,
Flow on winds from greatest height.

The Star In The West A Critical Essay On The Works Of Aleister Crowley

The Star In The West A Critical Essay On The Works Of Aleister Crowley Cover

Book: The Star In The West A Critical Essay On The Works Of Aleister Crowley by John Frederick Charles Fuller

The Star in the West: a Critical Essay upon the Works of aleister crowley by Captain (as he then was) J. F. C. Fuller can now be read online. This is a lengthy study of Crowley's early poetry and philosophy (as expressed in the writings collected in his 1905-7 Collected Works). Some might question the "critical" part; even AC was occasionally embarassed by the excesses of Fuller's praise, as witnessed by his ca. 1910 poem "The Convert (a hundred years hence)"

Lady Light

Lady Light Cover My Lady Moon upon my window crept
Weeping want of you.
And touches me with silver light
The way I need you to.
She smiles soft.
Holds in her light
The Wisdom of all time.
The knowing of the magick ways
Of want and need and wine.
Hail her, who doth touch
Both our seeking eyes
And comfort there in knowing that
We're one beneath her light.

By whom the Sandal always steams.
Alone, I make a black carouse

And rubies flame from either eye;

Holly And The Ivy

Holly And The Ivy Cover The Holly King has ruled us
All Through the waning days.
As chosen of the Summer Maid
Through the autumn's chill he stays.

But the Holly King must fall
As is the ancient way.
And the Reborn Sun, the Oaken King,
In turn shall have his day.

As wren gives way to robin
And fall to winter tide;
The dying sun to newborn sun,
And the Darkness turns to light.

The holly bears a prickle,
As sharp as any thorn.
And the Mother bore the Holy Child
On Solstice Day in the morn.

The Holly and the Ivy,
Now both are full well grown.
But the Holly King to the Oaken King
Must now give up the crown.

But as the year wheel turneth,
The Oak King has his sway,
Soon the battle's fought and the Holly King,
Again will have his way.

The River

The River Cover In the midst of death and violence
A light kindling in my heart
Is Beginning to warm my soul
With new life.

I look back at the white water boiling behind me
With a shuddering anger at the treacherous, roiling white light.
I look ahead at the broad, black expanse
Smooth, yet turbulent and rich with wonderful power.

Deep moments of peace are the essence of what is Coming
Deep pools of bliss are the essence of what is coming
Troubles are the food that nourishes a peaceful life
Troubles gently feed bliss with subtle flavours of delight

I bow to all the Deities who are Bringing me wealth unmeasured
And I thank the Lord, and I thank the Lady, and I thank my Self.

A Victim Of Ideologies

A Victim Of Ideologies Cover PLACE was just a place.
without form or future,
barren of inhabitants.

Then RAIN appeared - and gave PLACE moisture.
And SUN lent PLACE light.
And EARTH molded PLACE into form.
And WIND and BREEZE breathed
sweet airs into PLACE.

And CLOUD smiled and MOON shone.
And STAR brought forth beauty,
wonder, magic.

And PLACE awakened.
And grew trees, and grass.
Animals appeared.
And PLACE was graced with
lakes, and ponds,
and light, and shadow.

'Thank you!', cried PLACE.
'I am alive. Thank you.'

And the Elements conferred
among themselves,
And preened, and swelled, and gloated.
'See!', cried SUN. 'We are all powerful-'
'we have a RIGHT to be proud!'

'Ah!', said RAIN. 'But I was the first!'
'And Without me', said EARTH,
'PLACE would be shapeless!'
And the elements fought, and argued, and battled
RAIN and WIND changed to STORM,
killing, ripping trees asunder.
EARTH shook, imposing vast destruction.
CLOUD, MOON and STAR retreated,
while SUN flared, burning all to ruin.

And angered, with bruised pride,
the elements departed.
Only BREEZE remained upon this barren,
blackened Desert that was PLACE.

'Oh cruel brethren! What have we done?'
and BREEZE tried to resurrect PLACE,
but it's power was too weak.

And so dead PLACE remains
the mournful cry of BREEZE
it's only voice.
