My Book Of Shadows Blessing

My Book Of Shadows Blessing Cover
This is the blessing I have as the first page in my Book of Shadows – Lady Selene

Harken as the Witches word
Calls the Lady and the Lord
Moon above and earth below
Skies coal blue and suns hot glow
In this right and ready hour
Fill the pages with thy power
May no unprepared eyes see
The secrets which entrusted be
To I who walk the hidden road
To find the hearthstones calm abode
Guardians of the four directions
Hear me and lend they protection
May these truths of earth and skies
Shielded be from prying eyes
But to the Witches whose maps these be
May the way be plain to see
And through all the coming ages
May we find home in these pages
So mote it be!

Beautiful Goddess of many faces, bless this book that it may enhance all who choose to read its pages. Bless this book as my relationship with you may continue to grow with your love and your blessing. So mote it be!

Prayer Drive

Prayer Drive Cover With every turn of the disk in the drive:
To him who helps the poet thrive
By swapping silver for the use
Of verse, sweet Blessings from the Muse.

But woe to him who plays the thief,
Deletes this Message--grant him grief!
For every time the disk spins Around,
His luck shall tumble to the ground.

Yule

Yule Cover Awaken the darkness, welcome back the fires of light!

This is the season of Yule, also known as the Winter Solstice. It is the
shortest day of the year, and the first Solar celebration of the pagan new
year.

Yuletide, as it is called in the Teutontic tradition, begins on Mother
Night, December 20th and lasts through Yule Night, December 31st. This is where
the "12 Days of Christmas" originated.

Yule night is when the Goddess gives birth to the Sun Child. This marks the
promise of new beginnings. This birth-death-rebirth cycle is again complete,
and we realize that new life will come again. Fires are lit in celebration,
and to give the Sun strength for its journeys back to the skies.

Many of the Traditions that we have today are originally of pagan decent.
Santa's reindeer actually represented the Horned God in his paternal and
natal aspects. The "Christmas Tree" was a Representation of the "Tree of
Life", being decorated with nuts and fruits to appease the tree spirits and
bring fruit back to its bare branches. The Yule log is also symbolic of the
"Tree of Life", being burned at the fires of the Yule celebration. A portion
of the log is kept and used to light the following years' fire, and to bring
Protection to the home throughout the coming year.

Yule is also a time for new awareness, new projects and to make changes in
your life. Decorations of Evergreens, Holly and Mistletoe are used for
protection, fertility, luck and dream magic. Aquamarine stones can be placed
upon your altar for motivation and courage. Bayberry candles are burned in
the home to bring wealth and happiness. Colors for the Yule celebration are
Green and Red, representing life and the life blood that flows through all
of us.

"The lady never slept, but lay in a trance
All night within the fountain, as is sleep,
Its emerald crags glowed in her beauty's glance.
Through green splendor of the water deep
She saw the constellations reel and dance
like fireflies and withal did ever keep
The tenour of her contemplations calm
With open eye, closed feet, and folded palm."

Percy Bysshe Shelley

Jewel

Jewel Cover Sparkling like a priceless gem,
Your eyes glisten, a living diadem.
Touched from the past brought forth Today,
And once again my Heart is brought to bay.

I remember when we rode the Field,
Banner flying, raised the shield,
And then the time we loved and lost
And the unforgiving sea claimed a deadly cost.

Once in a village, poor and downtrodden,
Once with new birth our life was broken,
Lover I remember you when,
Ages past we wandered a glen.

Many lives have come and gone,
But for a while, with you I would be alone.
An oasis in the desert of life,
An island of Joy in an ocean of Strife.

It seems so strange the day we met,
Our eyes crossed briefly and our gazes met.
Stars in our eyes we heard them say,
But then you had to turn away.
Departing you went with backwards gaze,
My eyes followed you gently and my heart was ablaze.
Visions of the Past and Future days,
And all I could see was the Sun's bright rays.

It seems so fateful that you walked in that day,
And to your smile my heart fell prey,
Eyes that dance filled with moonbeams of light,
While under your breast beats a heart filled with Life.

Into my arms I call you to me,
Eager our love to set free,
Into the air, like Hawks on the wing,
My love I give to you without any strings.

You say that you need time to be sure,
Lover, I tell you, that our love will endure.
This lifetime or next, only time will see,
But sooner or later, our love it will be.

Shining like diamonds caught in the sky,
A beacon for others, calling them to fly,
Showing no limits, teaching others to be free,
Visions of Love and Life we will be.
